Andra Matin's work received the best
work in architecture in SKALA+ 03.
With its contemporary and unusual
look of the architecture it symbolizes
the advancement of lifestyle, structural
technique and architectural language.
Enshi Sin - SKALA+ 03
Enshi Sin received the best work in interior
design for his design of a modern and
contemporary house in Surabaya. His design
features numerous designer's pieces that would
match to the ambience of the architecture.
Adelinah Chandra Rahardja - SKALA+ 03
Adelinah Chandra Rahardja received the
runner-up in interior design in SKALA+ 03. Her
intricate design of a show unit in Jakarta reveals
her elaborate use of color, material, texture,
lighting and decoration in creating an inspiring
interior design.
Ahmad Djuhara - SKALA+ 03
Ahmad Djuhara received runner-up in
architectural work in SKALA+ 03. His
design of a small house incorporated a
unique unfinished look and modern
interpretation of space.

house sitting on a hill incorporates
clever solution that focuses on open
and elaborate continuous circulation
of space, planes and mass, embodies
a contextual and site sensitive
planning of architectural design and
manifested to take advantage of the
surrounding view of the hill.  
Dean Kempnich - SKALA+ 01
Deans Kempnich wins the interior design
category with a design of a residence in Bali
that shows a rich palette of color, texture and the
abundant use of natural materials to create a
homey and elegantly designed interior. The
bold look of the interior inherited from the bold
use of building materials combined with
elaborate modern Balinese decor and styling.

SKALA+ Annual Design Award in Residential Category

Jakarta, 16th of December 2008 marked the day the review and selection of 23 architecture and
interior design works from a pool of approximately 50 inspiring works all from practicing architects
and interior designers from Indonesia. The Juri comprises of Budi Adelar Sukada (former AIA
chairmain), Anis Alkuratu (Chairwoman of HDII DKI) and Ade Iskandarsjah Latief (Director of PT
Griya Asri Magazine) brings forth today's laden innovative approach to design while striving a
universal language of tropical and green architecture and interior design.     

Here is the list of the 23 finalists whom have succeeded in a placement of SKALA+ 04 Annual
Design Award Magazine to be published shortly in early 2009. A million congratulation calls for to
the architects and interior designers whom have strive to be the best by succeeding in entering
the finalists list of this year's SKALA+ 04 Annual Design Award and a salute to the winners.

(Best Design in Architecture)
His winning design represent today's need for an
environmentally and smart residential wrapped in a
Modern interpretation of Balinese style. The design
incorporate the use of natural materials as well as
enable the house to be dismantled and shipped to
another location with hassle free effort. Truly inspiring!
Sita Kamaratih - SKALA+ 04
(Best Interior Design)
Her design is a testament to a
lushed and elegant living all
wrapped in a cozy, homey and
no denial of textures, forms,
unique design elements unit in
Jakarta.
Alex Bayusaputra - SKALA+ 04
(Runner-up in Interior Design)
His design exudes a contemporary ambience combining
natural materials while creating dynamism through the use
of graphical elements inspired from nature.
Willis Kusuma - SKALA+ 04
(Runner-up in Architecture)
The house is equipped with easy access and ample
living spaces by creating a ramp for vertical
circulation. The facade is an intricate and creative
use of positive and negative space all masking the
friendly barrier-free design of the inside.
